100M total $PANDO were created when we signed the Charter. However, most of the $PANDO is not yet issued - instead, $PANDO is issued over time to pay for DAO projects.

At the end of every season, the Treasury committee will propose an amount of $PANDO to emit during the following season as well as a top-level budget of how that $PANDO should be used.

Overall, our goal is to increase the value of the community over time so that the amount of $PANDO we need to emit with each season decreases as the value of $PANDO increases.

Top-Level Budget Categories

Every 6 months, we will have $PANDO allocated to at least the following categories:

Each season may also have special projects that we want to fund - for example, rewarding community members who organize in-person events, etc. These may also be funded via non-$PANDO tokens in our treasury. In either case, responsibility for distribution would live with the Treasury or Programs committees.

For example, in Season 1, we will likely spend 2M $PANDO for new members, 2M $PANDO for investment process participation, and pre-allocate 2M $PANDO to pursue partnerships.

Example 5-Year Emission Schedule

If the value of the community increases faster than this example, the Treasury committee would adjust the target tokens emitted every quarter so that we spend only those tokens we need to have a working budget for the season.
